THE STORY AND ITS CHARACTERS
Tlacuilos presents the social-economic reality during 90s
decade in Central America. Its Director Federico Peixoto
walked Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador,
Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama for 20 years, following
the steps of main graffiti artists and MCs (Rap Singers) of the
local scene. The story´s main character is “Chuck” a graffiti
artist from Nicaragua who migrates to Costa Rica, and
unexpectedly detonates the graffiti scene in the region.
Chuck and other graffiti artists achieved “the Central
American Integration through art and Hip Hop, an
unreached political goal (DJ Flako, 2012)”.
